Nsukka town in Enugu State has been thrown into a state of pandemonium following the torturing of a tricycle aka Keke rider to death by alleged taskforce men.

KemiFilaniNews gathered that the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon.

An eyewitness who spoke to our correspondent on anonymous condition said the tricycle rider was beaten to death by alleged Keke taskforce men for trying to evade paying for a N50 ticket.

“There was a Franca between the Keke rider and the taskforce men overpayment of N50 ticket money. The man tried to argue with them and the argument turned into fighting and man was beaten to death by the taskforce men,” the eyewitness said.

The eyewitness said some of the task force officers ran away after they discovered that the man was dead.

Tricycle riders in the University town are protesting the killing of one of their members by ticket taskforce.

The Enugu State Police Command was yet to react to the development at the time of filing this report.
