The Nigerian senior men national team, Super Eagles,Sunday, defeated the Wild Beasts of Central African Republic, two goals to nothing to avenged their shocking loss in front of a home crowd in the reverse fixture of the 2022 World Cup qualifier.

Rangers’ defender, Leon Balogun, put the Eagles in the lead 32nd minute before Napoli striker doubled up for the Gernot Rohr’s men just before the half-time break.

Nigeria dominated the second half encounter in Doula, Cameroon, but was denied more goals by the hard fighting Les Fauves.

The Super Eagles are now top of the group with nine points from four games.

Nigeria is now through to the knockout and final phase of qualification for Qatar 2022.
