Yeye Terlumun Madidi, one of the Benue State University, BSU, prospective Corps members who were kidnapped while traveling to their various posted camps, has reportedly regained freedom.
According to BSU Media House, he regained his freedom on Sunday, 24th October, 2021, when he shiftly left the place where the kidnappers held him bound alive for safety into a police station.
An anonymous source from his department confirmed the development.
“Hallelujah, my course mate by name, Yeye Terlumun Madidi who was kidnapped while on transit to Sokoto for his mandatory NYSC orientation course has finally and miraculously regained freedom”, BSU Media House quoted the source as saying.
“He has graciously escaped and was taken to the police station by a certain man who assisted him to get to police station to give statement and thereafter to the orientation camp where the NYSC officials too have given him direct registration and documentation to participate in the camp after due interrogation.
He continued, “We spoke lengthily on phone and he explained everything to me while emphatically remaining grateful to God for the miracle over his life.

KemiFilaniNews reported that prospective Corps members; Iorliam Jennifer Awashima, a graduate Benue State University, Department Of English, and Yiye Terlumun Madidi, graduate of the Department of Political Science, Benue State University, Makurdi, alongside a 200 Level student of Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, who hails from Benue State, were kidnapped by suspected bandits in Zamfara State on 20th October, 2021, on their way to their various destinations.
