Paul Okoye’s biography

Paul Okoye was born on the 18th of November 1981 in Jos, Plateau state to Josephine Okoye and Mazi Moses Okoye, who hailed from Anambra state.

Rude Boy grew up alongside six siblings named Tony Okoye, Mary Okoye, Ifeanyi Okoye, Lilian Okoye, popular among them are Jude Okoye and Peter Okoye.

Paul Okoye is a Nigerian by birth and will celebrate his 40th birthday in November 2021.


Paul Okoye finished from the Saint Murumba Secondary School, a catholic school based in Jos after which he attended the University of Abuja where he bagged a BSc in Business Administration.


Paul Okoye and his twin brother Peter Okoye took an interest in music from a young age, and their source of his inspiration was the late King of Pop Michael Jackson.

The Okoyes went by different stage names until they decided to stick with the name Psquare.

Psquare started out with their first manager named Howie T. as their first manager under who Peter Okoye dropped his album titled, Last Nite in 2003.

The album was a sponsored one as Peter and  Paul Okoye had won the Grab Da Mic competition in 2001, which came with opportunities for music sponsorship.

Peter Okoye was married to Anita Isama in 2014, and they had known each other since 2004; the marriage, however, ended in August 2021 after Anita filed for divorce over what was termed as irreconcilable differences. Their union was blessed with three children named Andre Okoye, Nadia Okoye, Nathan Okoye.
