Nigerian Man Arrested With Over N40m Worth of Drugs In Philippines
Security operatives in Philippines have arrested a 36-year-old Nigerian man for illegal possession of drugs in the country.
The Nigerian man suspected to be a member of the West African Drug Syndicate was arrested in a sting in Las Piñas City on Thursday that yielded P5.42 million worth of illegal drugs, police reported yesterday.
Nnaemeka Nwoke, 36, was collared by anti-narcotics officers at a subdivision in Barangay Talon Singko at around 8:30 p.m., according to National Capital Region Police Office director Maj. Gen. Jonnel Estomo.
Among the items seized from the Nigerian were several packs of the party drug ecstasy valued at P2.3 million.
Nwoke was also in possession of 195 grams of shabu valued at P1.32 million and 337.5 grams of cocaine with a street value of 1.78 million.
The suspect faces charges of violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
