American former astronaut, engineer, fighter pilot, and the second man to land on the moon, Buzz Aldrin, has married his longtime love, Anca Faur, 63, on his 93rd birthday.
Mr. Aldrin announced his marriage to Dr. Anca Faur, in a small ceremony in Los Angeles, California, via his Twitter account on January 20, 2023.

“On my 93rd birthday and the day I will also be honored by the Living Legends of Aviation, I am pleased to announce that my longtime love, Dr. Anca Faur, and I have married,” Aldrin wrote sharing photos with his new wife.
“We have been united in holy matrimony in a small private ceremony in Los Angeles and are as excited as teenagers eloping.”

Dr. Faur, who has a Ph.D. in chemical engineering, is the executive vice president of Mr. Aldrin’s company, Buzz Aldrin Ventures.

Buzz Aldrin had previously been married three times: to Joan Archer, between 1954 and 1974; to Beverly Van Zile, between 1975 and 1978; and to Lois Driggs Cannon, from 1988 to 2012.
He is the only surviving member of the three-man crew of the Apollo 11 mission. Neil Armstrong was the first astronaut to set foot on the lunar surface, followed 19 minutes later by Aldrin.
The former astronaut retired from NASA in 1971 and in 1998 founded the ShareSpace Foundation, a non-profit organization to promote the expansion of manned space exploration.
