He is best known for directing movies such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, and Sherlock Holmes. He has also directed music videos for The Rolling Stones and Madonna. He gained widespread recognition with his debut feature film, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, which was a critical and commercial success. Estere Ciccone and her sister Stella Ciccone are the adoptive twins of the Material Girl vocalist, Madonna. The singer’s non-profit organization, Raising Malawi, adopted the twins, who are a creative duo with delightful memories shared on their combined Instagram page. She adopted them both when they were four years old.
Madonna has a history of supporting the people and kids of Malawi. She adopted two people – David Banda and Mercy James – from Malawi in 2006 and 2009, respectively. Mercy, whom she met in a home in Blantyre, is a year younger than David, who was four years old when he was adopted.

During the court hearing that granted her custody of the twins, Madonna was in the presence of the kids’ biological father. The decision depended on the twins receiving proper living conditions, which a representative would travel to verify and approve clearly.
Titus Mvalo, Madonna’s lawyer, argued that she had exhibited a passion for Malawi and her children over the years. So, the court could not find sound reasoning to prevent her from adopting Estere and Stella.
