Fast-rising street singer,  Portable’s ex-signee, Manny Monie had disclosed that he is responsible for his former boss’s recent troubles with the police as he denies being an internet fraudster otherwise known as Yahoo Boy.

Kemi Filani reported that Portable had cried out in fear on social media on Tuesday, 28th March after some Men of the Nigerian Police Force from Ogun State stormed his newly opened bar to arrest him.

The father took to his Instagram live to capture the embarrassing moment the police officers walked into the office. In the video, Portable could be seen screaming out as he questioned the reason and purpose for the sudden arrest.

The controversial singer used his celebrity status and the fact that he had worked for APC as bait for his arrest. He could be heard screaming, “I am a celebrity and I work for APC, you don’t have any right to walk into my office and tell me that I am under arrest”.

Nigerians took to different comment sections to applaud Portable for resisting arrest as he demanded that his fundamental human rights be respected.

Manny Monie behind Portable’s attempted arrest

In a new development, Portable’s ex-signee, Manny Monie took to social media to reveal that he is behind Portable’s woes with the police as he denied being a yahoo boy.

It is recalled that in one of Portable’s Instagram live videos, he disclosed that yahoo boys allegedly sent the police after him.

Debunking the allegation of being a yahoo boy, Manny Monie said he is not a fraudster and went on to reveal that the police came after his former boss after several failed attempts to peacefully invite him over to the station when he filed a petition against him for threatening his life and instigating violence against.

Kemi Filani recalls that in November 2022, Portable and Manny Monei fell apart after the former shared a video of himself assaulting the latter who was sitting on the floor.

In the video he shared on Instagram, Portable accused his ex-signee of being ungrateful and a scammer. He further disclosed that he tried to double-cross him by employing two music distributors without his knowledge.

Portable’s action ensued after Manny Monie claimed that he fired his entire studio (belonging to Potable) staff after they generated only N7k in a month.
