A UK-based Nigerian man has complained on social media about the amount of money deducted from his income as tax.

According to him, @UncleJohn on TikTok, the country deducts an unfair amount of money as tax from his main income. He stated that this is taking a toll on his financial status as he can not boast of good financial stability.

The pained man gave an instance of a £150 tax deduction from a £500 salary, jokingly mentioning how he prefers to buy crayfish for his stew rather than fresh fish because of how economical it is for him. Following his complaint, many Nigerians based in the UK took to the comment section to lament the same situation.
